Mathew James (3g Bettor’s Delight / Taylor Kate by Artsplace) won at Gloucester Park on the 23rd April where he drew No.4 and was left facing the breeze and was still there with a round-to-go, but moved forward to eyeball the leader rounding the last bend, then hit the lead 50m out to win by 1.6m in a 1:56.2 Mile Rate and last 800m in 56.3 in what was not a bad effort after sitting parked for the entire journey, to now have 3 wins from 5 starts – bred by RA & JV Yarndley.

Hezgot Fusion Power (10h Mach Three / Milagro by Dream Away) also won at Gloucester Park on the 23rd April drawing No.6 it was a great comeback as his last race start was 08/05/2012, but he was slow away before working 3-wide around to sit parked with a round-to-go, then he hit the front turning for home and was nursed to win by 2.5m and now has 6 wins & 5 placings for $34,799 – bred by RA & JV Yarndley.

Forget The Price Tag (4g Majestic Son / Yankeedoosie by Muscles Yankee) won at Auckland on the 26th April where he started from the 20m Unruly 1 Mark and worked his way through the field to settle sixth with the runners stretched out over quite a distance, then he got the 1x1 with a round-to-go, before facing the breeze, challenging the leader in the home straight and hitting the lead 100m out to win by 1¾ lengths to now have 5 wins for $66,403 – bred by Breckon Farms Ltd.

Tickle Me Pink (3f Muscle Hill / Luby Ann by Andover Hall) also won at Auckland on the 26th April drawing No.6 in the Group 2 Haras des Trotteurs Sires Stakes Championship, she went forward to end up parked, sitting third facing the breeze with Tony Herlihy content to sit there patiently, then with 500m to go, he moved up to put pressure on the leader and took the lead turning for home, putting a couple of lengths on them and held on for a great win by a head after over 8 months off the scene to now have 5 wins for $50,262 – bred by Breckon Farms Ltd and raced by the Breckon Farms – The Perfect Ten Syndicate.

Spankem (4g Bettor’s Delight / Crushem by Holmes Hanover) also won at Auckland on the 26th April, taking out the Group 1 Downbytheseaside At Woodlands Taylor Mile, where he drew No.2 and after getting away well from the mobile he had to work a little to make the lead, but then led and dominated the race from the front, going on to win by a comfortable 1¼ length margin, in a Track Record 1:53.4 and running home in 54.5 for the last 800m and 26.1 for the 400m to now have 12 wins & 14 placings for $1,057,256 – raced by Glenys & Phil Kennard, Breckon Racing Syndicate, Jim & Ann Gibbs, Garry & Kerry Woodham.

So Bobs Your Uncle (5g Artsplace / Delightful Dale by Bettor’s Delight) won at Albion Park also on the 26th April where he drew No.1 and was out fast to hold the lead and fought off strong challengers in the home straight to win by a half head in a 1:55 Mile Rate to now have 6 wins for $33,393 – bred by Breckon Farms Ltd.

King Of Swing (4h Rocknroll Hanover / Twist And Twirl by Artsplace) won at Gloucester Park also on the 26th April drawing No.6 he was 3-wide working forward to sit parked, then hit the lead rounding the home bend and won his first start since November with some authority to now have 14 wins for $409,760 from 26 starts – bred by Breckon Farms Ltd.

Laredo Torpedo (5g Bettor’s Delight / Zingara by Christian Cullen) won at Hobart also on the 26th April where he drew No.6 on the 2nd Row, but started favourite and was 1-out-and-5-back with a round-to-go, then went on to win by 2.4m to now have 11 wins for $89,018 – bred by CJ & BJ Whitelock.

Cheeky Babe (2f Muscle Hill / Factor The Odds by Pegasus Spur) won at Cambridge on the 28th April drawing No.5 in the Cambridge 2YO Trotting Stakes, she showed good gate speed to go straight to the lead, while the favourite got the trail on her back before he moved out to sit outside her rounding the final bend and in a real tussle down the straight Cheeky Babe was too good and won by a half head in a 2:02.7 Mile Rate for the 1700m to remain unbeaten in 4-starts – bred by Breckon Farms Ltd and raced by the Breckon Farms – The Savvy Six Syndicate.



Placed horses this week were Heza Head Honcho 2nd and Purest Silk 3rd both at Gloucester Park, Dina Bolt 3rd at Invercargill in the Diamond Creek Farm 2YO Classic, Times stride 3rd at Menangle.
