Bet N Win will start from barrier 9 in the $600,000 TAB Trot at Cambridge Raceway’s Night of Champions this Friday, filling the slot for Breckon Racing Syndicate, George Breckon, Andrew Breckon, Richard Cole, and the Odds On Syndicate.
Following the draw, co-trainer Stacey White expressed optimism about the starting position.
“As the draws kept coming out, we kept getting more and more upbeat about where we had drawn. It looks like on paper there should be a lot of speed up front early,” said White.
“We'll just let Bob (Butt) take the reins and see what happens. Being the only horse on the second line, he's going to have options. He'll be there and doing his best.”
A standout performer, Bet N Win was a $32,500 purchase from Breckon Farms’ Draft at the New Zealand Bloodstock Yearling Sale in Auckland. The son of Factor The Odds (by What The Hill) has already amassed $236,559 in stakes and will be looking to increase his earnings further on Friday evening.
Breckon-bred Kyvalley Hotspur has been named as the emergency for the lucrative trotting contest.
The highly anticipated TAB Trot will take place at 7:49pm (NZT), with a field of top-class trotters set to battle it out under the lights of Cambridge Raceway.
