From a $16,000 yearling to a standout race mare with nearly $250,000 in lifetime earnings – Illavabubbles has been a brilliant horse for connections. Now, after a decorated racing career, she returns to where it all began, rejoining Breckon Farms as the newest member of our broodmare band.
Bred by Breckon Farms and sold for $16,000 as a yearling, Illavabubbles has more than proved her worth on the track. A winner of 15 races and Group 1 placed, she retires having built an impressive resume, including recently being crowned the 2024 Club Menangle Horse of the Year.
Among her many memorable performances, one of the highlights was her blistering 1:49.7 mile rate victory in the Club Menangle Sue Kelly Stakes.
Illavabubbles is by Always B Miki and out of the Bettor’s Delight mare Delightful Dale, a pedigree that will no doubt serve her well as she embarks on this exciting new chapter as a broodmare.
