Times Stride (4h Rocknroll Hanover / Star Of The Ball by Presidential Ball) won at Menangle on the 26th February drawing No.8 he began slowly to settle last of the bunch and was in no hurry to improve, but came around the final bend 5-wide and hit the lead 15m from the finish to record his best Mile Rate of 1:52.8 and now has 3 wins & 5 placings for $29,450 – bred by Ryder Bloodstock Ltd.
Our Princess Tiffany (3f Art Major / Dancing Diamonds by Bettor’s Delight) won the Gr.1 John Gibson Memorial NSW Oaks at Menangle on the 2nd March where starting from No.5 she went out with them but was 3-wide initially before working her way to the lead at the 1800m point, running them along at good speed throughout and turning for home it was all over as she went on to win by 16.6m in the her fastest Mile Rate of 1:53.4 for the 2400m, a new World Record to now have 11 wins & 1 placing from just 13 starts for $505,630 – bred by BJ & CJ Whitelock. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Spankem (4g Bettor’s Delight / Crushem by Holmes Hanover) also won at Menangle on the 2nd March in the Gr.1 $1m Ainsworth Miracle Mile, starting from No.6 he went out with them and after his stablemate Thefixer initially held the lead, he pressed on to take over heading into the first bend, then ran them along at speed, putting further pressure on as they turned into the home straight and went on to hold all at bay and win very nicely in 1:47.7, with the fastest ever last 400m in Australia of 25.4, to now have 11 wins & 14 placings for $968,582 – raced by Glenys & Phil Kennard, Breckon Racing Syndicate, Jim & Ann Gibbs, Garry & Kerry Woodham. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Of Interest is that 7 of the 8 starters in the Miracle Mile were NZ-bred, with the lone Australian starter Poster Boy finishing in 3rd placing behind the All Stars stable quinella.
Stylish Trend (6g Bettor’s Delight / Trenzetta by Christian Cullen) won at Burnie on the 3rd March drawing No.3 on the 20m Mark he worked his way through the field to take the lead and went on to win by 5m and now has 14 wins & 39 placings for $91,282 – bred by Breckon Bloodstock Ltd.
