Winners this week include …
Vasari (5g Art Major / Thebestamancanget by Mach Three) won at Redcliffe on the 24th July where he drew No.2 on the 2nd Row for the 1780m journey and was slow away out 3-wide, then got the 1x1 before moving forward to sit parked with a round-to-go, then hit the lead 400m out to go on for an easy win by 12.6m in a 1:55.2 Mile Rate to now have 14 wins & 23 placings for $135,747 – bred by the Hardwood Breeding Syndicate.
Gladamare (3f Mach Three / Delightful Dale by Bettor’s Delight) won at Auckland on the 26th July drawing No.4 she was held back out of the gate to settle 3-back on the markers before moving out coming out of the final bend, going 4-wide and worked hard coming down the straight to snatch the win right on the line in a great effort and a 1:55.1 mile to now have 4 wins & 2 placings for $35,088 – bred by Breckon Farms Ltd and raced by the Breckon Farms - The Perfect Ten Syndicate.
Sertorius (5g Muscles Yankee / Classic Armbro by Armbro Invasion) also won at Auckland on the 26th July where he drew No.7 off the Front Line but settled near the back of the field, before pulling out in the straight to improve and was up in second 450m from home, then on straightening up he put in a strong challenge to hit the lead 150m out, going on to win by 1¼ lengths, completing a hattrick of wins to now have 8 wins & 4 placings for $96,333 – bred by Breckon Farms Ltd.
Placed horses this week were Typhoon Stride 3rd, Times Stride 2nd both at Menangle, All Yours 2nd at Auckland, Kruizr 3rd at Addington, Liukin 3rd at Newcastle, Smart Fortune 3rd at Bunbury, Shandance 2nd at Menangle.
In the USA …
In Runaway Bay (9g Mach Three / Pullover Brown by Armbro Operative) won at Buffalo Raceway on the 20th July where he drew No.2 to lead all the way through quarters of 29.0, 29.1, 28.4 and 28.1, winning by a head in 1:55.1 – bred by C McLeod & G Nolan.
Rycroft (8g Elsu / Futures So Bright by In The Pocket) won at Northfield Park also on the 20th July drawing the outside barrier No.9 to settle in fourth position, then moved up to second at the half and took the lead in the home straight to win in 1:53.0 – bred by Biddlecombe Equine Ltd
USA Placings were Change Stride 3rd at Meadowlands, Lerato 3rd at Scioto Downs.
