The Farm

Breckon Farms came in to existence when Ken and Karen purchased the land off the Yarndley Family in 2007.

Retaining the years of knowledge with Sandy remaining on as Farm Consultant, and son Scott as Farm Manager the Breckon's set out to bring their vision to fruition.

Undertaking contouring advancements to the land, widening of lane ways, the addition of post and rail fencing and continual pasture improvements, Breckon Farms has developed into a first class nursery for Standardbred bloodstock.

The development of the property over the past 11 years is simply phenomenal but it doesn't stop there. Ken, Karen and their team are constantly striving to ensure Breckon Farms is the best operation it can be.

The combination of the modern farming practices, the evolution of the property and the highly experienced staff has paid dividends with the results in the Auction Ring and Race Track speaking for themselves.

The farm has been the nursery for the Breckon Bred Group Race winners, ICANDOOSIT, ELLE MAC, BETTOR TWIST, HIGH GAIT, LUBY LOU to name a few.

Space allowing, Breckon Farms offers year round mare agistment, foaling services and AI breeding services in conjunction with the Waikato Equine Veterinary Centre.
