Breckon Farms once again has a good number of farm-bred or foaled, owned or related horses lining up to race this weekend.
On Friday at Auckland in Race 3 is Forget The Price Tag who scored well here last time and should go close again. In Race 5 is Tickle Me Pink who is resuming after a lengthy 8-month layoff and having performed well at recent workouts and being 3-from-3 at Alexandra Park, should command some respect in this Gr.2 feature. In Race 7 is Spankem who is the reigning Miracle Mile champion in 1:47.7 2-starts back, before having a tough run at Addington last time, but should be right in this Gr.1 feature from a handy draw.
Over at Albion Park in Race 6 is So Bobs Your Uncle who has been struggling in recent racing and will need to show some improvement to get any of this.
At Bankstown in Race 7 is Art I Special who was an improved 2nd placing 2-starts back, then got locked away last week, but there are 2 or 3 in here that won’t be easy for him to beat.
At Hobart in Race 4 are Stylish Trend who was a good 2nd placing last week and can place again and Laredo Torpedo who drops back in class here and despite his outside 2nd Row draw should be winning this.
At Gloucester Park in Race 1 is Tuas Delight who has placed in 2-of-his-last 4-races but hasn’t fired in the other two, so must be taken on trust. In Race 4 is King Of Swing who is fresh-up from a spell and should have too much class for this field.
On Saturday at Invercargill in Race 10 is Zinny Mach who has been thereabouts in recent racing and shouldn’t be far away in this. Over at Newcastle in Race 2 is Wise Goddess who has been locked away in her last couple of races and placed before that, so is capable of getting amongst this too. In Race 4 is Liukin who was a dominant 11.5m winner in 1:54.7 here 2-starts back, then didn’t really get a run last week, so is capable of featuring in this but it won’t be easy from his outside 2nd Row draw over 1609m.
At Menangle in Race 2 is Lovin Miss Daisy who was a good 1:53.7 last-start winner here and is capable of getting some of this despite coming up against a couple of smart ones in this. In Race 7 is Times Stride who has been in excellent form and is capable of getting some of this Gr.2 race. In Race 8 is Shandance who was a fresh-up 4th placing last-start and has the ace draw over 1609m for this assignment, but the tote says she can’t win. In Race 9 is Vettel who has been struggling in recent racing and will need improvement to get any of this.
At Melton in Race 5 is Burnaholeinmypocket who was only fair in a fresh-up effort back on the 23 March, but is capable of getting amongst this despite his outside Front Line draw over 1720m here. In Race 6 is Pocket Thedeal who hasn’t had much luck in recent racing and will need plenty in this from his inside 2nd Row draw. In Race 7 is Miss Streisand who ran a good 2nd placing to the favourite for this Gr.1 Victoria Oaks Final in her heat last week and should be competitive again.
On Sunday at Cambridge in Race 1 is Cheeky Babe who is unbeaten in 3-races to date and should remain so after this. In Race 5 is Harvey Specter who ran home well for 4th in Sires Stakes Heat last time and is not without a chance of getting some of this one. In Race 9 is Racketeers Boy who brings good Hawera form, including a win on the first day, to this race and should rate a place chance here.
Over at Launceston in Race 4 is Stylish Trend who is also down to race on Friday at Hobart after a good 2nd placing last week and can certainly get some of this too
