Breckon Farms once again has a good number of farm-bred or foaled, owned or related horses lining up to race this weekend.
On Thursday at Manawatu in Race 5 is Itsokbeingbetter who was a good 3rd on Tuesday at Wanganui but the inside 2nd Row draw in this won’t help.
Over at Penrith in Race 4 is Vasari who has been thereabouts in most of his races since last winning back in January, but may need some luck from his inside 2nd Row alley here. In Race 6 is Art I Special who won 3-starts back, but broke and tailed off last start and is another one who will need luck from his inside 2nd Row draw.
On Friday at Auckland in the Non Tote race are Cheeky Babe who is the winner of two recent workouts and looks to give a good showing of herself and Shanhill who won a workout easily last week and should also be competitive. In Race 1 is Sea Change who has had a win and a placing in recent workouts and from the ace should be in this one.
At Addington in Race 5 are Kayla Marie who was a good winner at Alexandra Park last week and from the ace draw here should be right amongst this again and Bubbled Up who was a closing 2nd to Kayla Marie last week, loses out in the preferential draw conditions and will find it hard from her wide draw.
Over at Albion Park in Race 6 is Bronze Ecstasy who has had a 3rd and three 4th placings in his last 4-starts over the last month and is capable of getting some of this from his ace draw. In Race 7 is Raesawinner who hasn’t been racing that well of late and will need some improvement to feature in this.
At Menangle in Race 3 is Lovin Miss Daisy who was a good winner in 1:53.4 2-starts back, but then led and faded last week, but is capable of bouncing back in this from a handy draw over 1609m. In Race 5 is Cash N Flow who finished 3rd to Thefixer and Tiger Tara at Gr.1 level 2-starts back, but then faded in his last-start Gr.1, but is certainly capable of getting some of this despite his wide draw. In Race 8 is Vettel who led and faded fresh-up last week and this will be much harder from the extreme outside gate over 1609m here. In Race 9 is Rocking who trailed and faded last week after two good 3rd placings in previous two, so from a handy draw over 1609m in this should get her chance to place again.
At Globe Derby in Race 4 is Crystal Sparkles who went her usual tough honest race for a good 2nd fresh-up last week, but does have the outside Front Line draw to overcome here over 1800m, which she is capable of doing.
At Gloucester Park in Race 1 are Neighlor who has been thereabouts in recent racing and with a handy draw can feature in this and Bronze Seeker who was a winner on the course last week but may find this harder, especially from his awkward draw at No.7 round this track. In Race 8 is Just Rockon Bye who had a tough race second-up from a spell last week, but is capable of bouncing back to get some of this.
On Saturday at Wyndham in Race 7 is Flying Even Bettor who has had two 2nd placings in his career to date and is certainly capable of going one better in this the time-honoured Gr.3 Kindergarten Stakes. Over at Melton in Race 5 is Rock Tonight who has been mixing his efforts in recent racing and from his outside unruly barrier won’t find this easy, but still can place.
At Hobart in Race 6 is Laredo Torpedo who was a promising 5th fresh-up last week off a 40m back mark, but comes up with another 40m back mark to overcome here, but still does deserve respect.
On Sunday over at Boort in Race 6 is Stress Factor who has been in good form since resuming in January and should be right in the thick of this.
At Launceston in Race 4 is Stylish Trend who was a good winner 2-starts back off a 20m back mark, but met some interference last week, so back to a mobile is capable of bouncing back here.
