Winners this week include …

King Of Swing (4h Rocknroll Hanover / Twist And Twirl by Artsplace) won at Gloucester Park on the 16th August where he drew No.2 and went out fast to take an easy lead, but was challenged early, however had no problem holding it off and went on for an easy win by 5.6m in a 1:57.1 Mile Rate for the 2130m journey to now have 17 wins & 7 placings for $462,550 – bred by Breckon Farms Ltd.

Crystal Sparkles (4m Rocknroll Hanover / Taylor Kate by Artsplace) also won at Gloucester Park on the 16th August, drawing No.5 she dropped back at the start to be 3-back on the outer, then came out 3-wide and go and face the breeze with a round-to-go, then hit the lead half way down the home straight on a rain affected track to win in a 1:59.2 Mile Rate for the 2130m, winning by 4m to now have 20 wins & 17 placings for $124,383 – bred by RA & JV Yarndley.

Vasari (5g Art Major / Thebestamancanget by Mach Three) won at Albion Park on the 17th August where he drew No.6 and was restrained at the start to settle 1-out-and-4-back, then with 500m to run he got a drag up 3-wide, then went 5-wide rounding the final bend and flew down the outer to win by a head in a 1:54.5 Mile Rate for the 1660m, so it looks like they have sorted him out by letting him settle, get balanced and fly home and he now has 16 wins & 24 placings for $150,341 – bred by the Hardwood Breeding Syndicate. It is understood that he is off to the USA next week.

Our Princess Tiffany (3f Art Major / Dancing Diamonds by Bettor’s Delight) won at Bendigo in the Woodlands Stud Breeders Crown Semi-Final, where she drew No.3 on the 2nd Row but worked her way forward 3-wide to take the lead down the back straight, to carry on and win well in a 1:54.8 Mile Rate for the 2150m, a time that was 1.5 seconds faster than the other semi-final, to now have 15 wins & 4 placings for $715,244 – bred by BJ & CJ Whitelock. We wish her GOOD LUCK for the final.

Placed horses this week were Laceys Lad 2nd at Newcastle, Art I Special 3rd at Penrith, Louis Litt 2nd at Addington, Rock Tonight 2nd at Melton, Rocking 2nd at Albion Park, Shandance 2nd at Menangle.

In the USA …

Kenrick (7g Bettor’s Delight / Toast To Cullen by Christian Cullen) won at Monticello on the 6th August where he drew No.4 and went straight to the lead and stayed there, to win in a time of 1:54.3 for the mile – bred by Biddlecombe Bloodstock Ltd.

Our Positano (6g Bettor’s Delight / Kelly Maguire by Christian Cullen) won at Harrah's Philadelphia on the 15th August drawing No.2 he dropped back early, before moving up slowly to be outside the leader, just a head away, at the top of the home straight and went on to win in 1:50.2 for the mile and now has 13 wins & 10 placings for $104,973 – bred by Breckon Bloodstock Ltd
