Funatthebeach (4g Somebeachsomewhere / Minnie Moose by Bettor’s Delight) won at Omakau on the 2nd January drawing No.6 he settled near the rear before taking off 3-wide to sit outside the favourite and going on to win the Group 3 Central Otago Trotting Cup by a half-length in a career-best very fast Mile Rate of 1:54.4 for the 2000m journey and from 21 starts now has 8 wins & 5 placings for $101,311 – bred by CJ & BJ Whitelock.

Shanocon (5h Bettor’s Delight / Veste by Christian Cullen) won at Bathurst also on the 2nd January where he drew No.8 and dropped to the tail of the field, then with 400m to go the commentator said he was struggling to keep up, but halfway down the straight said he was finishing brilliantly, to go on and win by a head in a career-best 1:55 Mile Rate for the 1730m journey to now have 4 wins & 14 placings for $37,260 – bred by the Coburg Syndicate.

Our Dream To Reality (5g Bettor’s Delight / Pocketfullofdreams by Albert Albert) won at Newcastle on the 4th January, starting from No.6 he began fast, but a breaker on the inside kept him out 3-wide, then he got the 1×1, then 3-back before in the back straight he pulled out 3-wide and kept going for an easy win to now have 11 wins & 15 placings for $64,899 – bred by the Jayvee Breeding Syndicate.

Miss Streisand (3f A Rocknroll Dance / Goodlookinggirl by Christian Cullen) also won at Newcastle drawing No.3 she began slowly and settled in sixth position 3-back on the outside, before in the back straight for the final time she improved 3-wide and hit the lead with 400m to go and went on for a good win, her fifth on end and now has 10 wins & 4 placings for $120,740 – bred by Breckon Farms Ltd.

So Bobs Your Uncle (5g Artsplace / Delightful Dale by Bettor’s Delight) won at Mount Gambier on the 6th January where he drew No.2 getting out best to lead, before the favourite came forward down the back the second time and took over, where from the trail he was able to draw to the outside at the top of the home straight and go on for a good win and now has 4 wins & 15 placings for $22,885 – bred by Breckon Bloodstock Ltd.

Placed horses this week were Forget The Price Tag 3rd and Another Masterpiece 2nd both at Auckland, Zinny Mach 2nd at Winton, So Bobs Your Uncle 2nd at St Arnaud, Stylish Trend 2nd at St Mary, Itsokbeingbetter 2nd at Wairarapa, Racketeers Boy 3rd and Dina Brown 3rd both at Cambridge, Bronze Ecstasy 2nd at Albion Park, The Pacman 3rd at Menangle, Stylish Trend 2nd at Burnie.

Never Say Never (5h Bettor’s Delight / Maid In Splendour by Christian Cullen) won at Dover Downs on the 3rd January where he drew No.3 and was in front at the half, staying there and going on to win in 1:50.4 and now has 18 wins for $236,728 – bred by Breckon Farms Ltd.
