Weekend Racing Action 8/11

With 20 Breckon Farms connected horses lining up across Australasia this weekend there is no shortage of action to follow.

Check out our race by race summary below.

Best of luck to their connections .

Redcliffe in Race 5 is Brass Lantern who hasn’t got into his last few starts and will need a bit of luck from his 2nd Row draw over 1780m in this.

At Penrith in Race 1 is Art I Special who broke last week on this course but had two 3rd placings here prior to that but has another 2nd Row draw to overcome here so it won’t be easy.

At Yarra Valley in Race 4 is Burning Cash who didn’t finish it off last-start at Melton but should strip fitter and must rate in the first few here.

In Race 8 is My Kiwi Lady who was a good winner first-up for the season at Kilmore, before placing last week at Shepparton, so with a little luck from her 2nd Row draw should be competitive in this field.

Cambridge in Race 6 are Suidelike Major whose Auckland form hasn’t been all bad, so can get some of this from his ace draw and La Vitesse who is a recent workout winner fresh-up here and should be right in the mix from her handy draw.  In Race 8 is Racketeers Boy who is fresh-up from a decent break, but has a wide draw to overcome so may pay just to keep him on side.  In Race 9 is Stars Delight who ran 3rd at the workouts on Saturday and resumes here not having raced since April, but is capable of running in the money.

Over at Bathurst in Race 4 is Shandance who was a good 2nd last week at Dubbo and can get some of this one too.

At Hobart in Race 7 is Laredo Torpedo who has won 3-of-4 this season, completing a hattrick 2-weeks back and won a trial well here on Monday, so should be winning again.  In Race 8 is Stylish Trend who tired last week after backing-up 2-days after a good 2nd , so is certainly capable of placing in this.

At Gloucester Park in Race 1 is Neighlor who hasn’t got into his last 2-starts after two good seconds here prior, so will need to bounce back to be in this.

Redcliffe in Race 1 is Vettel whose form has been good and he was a good winner on the course last week, so he can overcome his outside Front Row draw to go close again.  In Race 8 is Raesawinner who was an improvers 4th placing last week and can get amongst the first few home in this small field too.  At Menangle in Race 2 are The Pacman who couldn’t quicken over the final stages of a fast-run mile here last time but back to 2300m may suit better and Lovin Miss Daisy who was a very good 2ndplacing off a wide draw over 1609m last week and if she can find a position from her wide draw again here can certainly get some of this too.

Melton in Race 3 is Rock Tonight who has been a little disappointing in his last 2-races after winning two on end at Melton but is capable of bouncing back in this field which is now reduced to just 6-runners.  In Race 6 are Diamonds N Cash who has been racing well, completing a hattrick then a 2nd placing before being freshened and should be very competitive in this field from his handy draw and Our Positano who has established an excellent record since going to Australia earlier this year, winning 9 races since his arrival in April including two good wins in his last two outings, so with a little luck from his inside 2nd Row draw can certainly feature in this too.

In Race 8 is Van Mara who had a good run of form through August and September before failing on this course 2-back and then got locked away from an inside 2nd Row draw last week, but from his handy draw here will surely be right in this.

Central Wheatbelt in Race 4 is Ctheballerina who hasn’t been getting into her recent races, then broke twice in her last assignment, but has the ace draw here to aid her bouncing back into form.
