Breckon Farms once again has a good number of farm-bred or foaled, owned or related horses lining up to race this weekend.
Albion Park in Race 3 is Veluti who never got into his race last week from a 2nd Row draw, but comes up with a handy one this time over 1660m so should get his chance. In Race 8 is Raesawinner who was a good 2nd placing last week after getting held-up late, so if he gets a run from his outside 2nd Row draw here he is capable of getting some of this.
Bendigo in Race 5 is Some Change who comes up with his first decent draw since winning 4-starts back and should be fighting out the finish here. In Race 7 is Selling The Dream who gets an ideal ace draw over the sprint distance of 1650m here and has gate speed so should be in this.
Auckland in Race 1 is Another Masterpiece who was a leading 2YO last season who is fresh-up here and despite his outside draw in a small 5-horse field should be right in this. In Race 2 is La Vitesse who was a little disappointing last week at Cambridge so will need to improve but has the aid of the ace draw which should give her the chance to run a place. In Race 3 is Princess Tiffany who was unbeaten as a 2YO here and in Australia last season and despite a 2nd Row draw over 1700m and being fresh-up she should be too good for these and continue on her winning way. In Race 4 is Elle Mac who was a good last-start winner on Show Day at Addington and has won 4 Group 1’s at this venue so should be right in the mix here. In Race 7 is Girls On Film who made a costly break last-start when resuming after a spell, but is capable of making amends if she behaves.
Albion Park in Race 4 is Vettel who was a good 2nd placing on the course last week so should be thereabouts again.
Melton in Race 3 is Burning Cash who was held-up when finishing 4th when last presented a month ago and is capable of getting right into this. In Race 6 is Rock Tonight who broke and lost all chance last time, but prior form was good, so is capable of bouncing back here. In Race 7 is My Kiwi Lady who got locked away on the inner last time but if she can hold-up from the ace and remain handy, she is certainly a good chance in this.
Mount Gambier in Race 3 is So Bobs Your Uncle who hasn’t got into his last couple of races but was a good 2nd on this course before that, however there is plenty of form in this field, so despite a handy draw it won’t be easy.
Hobart in Race 2 is Stylish Trend who was a good 2nd placing last week and from the ace here over 1609m must rate a good chance. In Race 3 is Laredo Torpedo who has galloped in his last 2-starts losing all chance, but having won his previous 4-in-a-row, he is certainly capable of giving this a shake, but does have a 2nd Row draw to overcome.
Bunbury in Race 7 is Ctheballerina who is only in moderate form, so will need to show some improvement to be in this.
Gloucester Park in Race 3 is Neighlor who was rundown to finish 3rd last week and previously had only been running in behind them in his last few, so his outside Front Line draw here will make things tricky. In Race 6 is Rock Diamonds who had a hard run last week for 8th placing but had been racing well prior, so should be a chance in this. In Race 7 is Our Max Phactor who won again last week, taking his tally to 10 wins and a 2nd placing in his 11 starts in Australia, so should be continuing on his winning way here, once again at short odds.
Auckland in Race 4 is Stars Delight who has had a 3rd and a 7th at Cambridge this term, so may not find this very easy from her 2nd Row draw. She is also entered in Race 5 and if she starts in this has the outside Front Row draw, so things won’t be any easier.
Over at Albion Park in Race 7 is Bronze Ecstasy who never got into his race at Redcliffe last week, but was a winner here before that, however does have a 2nd Row draw to overcome so it may be a bit tough from there.
Newcastle in Race 2 is Wise Goddess who has got back in her last 2 races and not featured, but prior was a couple of good 2nd placings, so will have to put herself in this to get some of the spoils. In Race 5 is Our Dream To Reality who was a good 3rd last week on the course and only failure of late was the previous start where she had to do some work, so with a handy draw here should be very competitive.
At Menangle in Race 4 is The Pacman who has been running in behind them in his last few races and meets a few with form in here so it won’t be easy despite his handy draw over 1609m. At Cranbourne in Race 1 is Pocket Thedeal who was a good winner at long odds at Ballarat during the week and from the ace here can give this a good shake too.
In Race 6 is Spankem who has had a win and a fast-finishing 3rd in the Inter Dominion Heats so far and despite a 2nd Row draw in this one can continue his good form to make it through to the Final. In Race 8, another Inter Dominion Heat, is Cash N Flow who was a good 2nd in the first round of heats before failing on Tuesday in the 2nd round and now comes up against leading Kiwi Cruz Bromac again in this one, so will be running for a place and the chance to make the Final. In Race 9 is The Thug who has been off the pace in his last couple of races, but prior form was good, so will need to get back to that to be in this, especially from his 2nd Row draw.
