Weekend Racing Action…

We witnessed some fantastic racing action over the weekend especially across the Tasman on night one of the Inter Dominions.

As expected the Kiwi’s performed exceptionally and none more so than SPANKEM, co owned by Glenys & Philip Kennard, Breckon Racing Syndicate, Jim & Anne Gibbs, Garry & Kerry Woodham. Congratulations to them all.

Forget The Price Tag (4g Majestic Son / Yankeedoosie by Muscles Yankee) won at Auckland on the 30th November where he was sent out favourite fresh-up from a spell and drew No.1 on the 10m Mark for the 2700m journey, settling 4th but facing the breeze, before he then moved up to get the trail with 2-rounds-to-go, then turning for home he came through on the passing lane to hit the lead with 150m to go to score well and now has 2 wins & 2 placings for $21,703 – bred by Breckon Farms

Our Max Phactor (6g Art Major / Tact Philly by In The Pocket) won at Gloucester Park also on the 30th November drawing No.3 he was sent out a hot odds-on favourite and went straight to the front and it was “all over red rover” with him going on to win by 6.5m in a 1.56.5 Mile Rate for the 2130m and now since arriving in Australia in September he has had 11 starts for 10 wins and a 2nd for $67,271 and lift his lifetime earnings to $214,568 – bred by Breckon Bloodstock Ltd.

Miss Streisand (3f A Rocknroll Dance / Goodlookinggirl by Christian Cullen) won at Newcastle on the 1st December, also being sent out a hot odds-on favourite, she drew No.2 and made a casual beginning to end up in the 1×1 before moving out to go forward and take the lead with a round-to-go and with no threats she went on for an easy 6.9m win in a Mile Rate of 1.54.7 to now have 6 wins & 4 placings for $102,140 – bred by Breckon Farms Ltd.

Nolessthanperfect (4m Bettor’s Delight / Thebestamancanget by Mach Three) won at Gloucester Park on the 27th November where she drew No.2 and went straight to the lead and was never headed, opening up a gap going into the last bend to win by 8.3m in a 1.58.7 Mile Rate for the 2130m to now have 2 wins & 6 placings for $18,423 – bred by the Hardwood Breeding Syndicate.

Mach Little Soaky (4g Mach Three / Warm Soak by Soky’s Atom) won at Cambridge on the 28th November drawing No.3 but got held up at the start with a galloper and ended up facing the breeze one-out-and-4-back before moving forward to be outside the leader, then turning for home challenged the leader, flying the last 50m to win by a neck at just his second start, home in 58.9 and 27.8 to now have 1 win & 1 placing for $6,525 – bred by the Hardwood Breeding Syndicate.

Placed horses this week were Mickey McRooney 3rd at Newcastle, Ruby Rose 3rd at Addington, Stylish Trend 2nd at Burnie, Neighlor 3rd at Gloucester Park, Raesawinner 2nd at Kilcoy, Vettel 2nd at Albion Park, Our Dream To Reality 3rd at Newcastle, Cash N Flow 3rd in his Inter Dominion Heat at Melton.

In the USA …

In Runnaway Bay (8g Mach Three / Pullover Brown by Armbro Operative) won at Batavia Downs on the 1st December where he drew No.2 and was first away to lead them throughout and go on to win in 1.55.2 – bred by CC McLeod & GJ Nolan.

Placed horses were Bronze Over 2nd at Yonkers, Kenrick 2nd at Plainridge Creek.
