The following article was published in the ‘PGG Wrightson Real Estate Property Express’ and is of pertinent interest regarding syndication and shared ownership in harness racing.
Of particular note, since this article was written by Bruce Barlass, Manager of PGG Wrightson Standardbred, is that Glenys and Phillip Kennard and their partners have won another NZ Trotting Cup with Lazarus, as he went back-to-back in winning the 2017 edition, as well as winning the feature pacing race on Show Day (17th November), the Group 1 $234,000 NZ Free-For-All with Ultimate Machete and another group of owners in G Douglas, Kevin Riseley and Phil and Margaret Creighton.
Of course, another great example of syndication was seen on Cup Day (14th November) when Chase Auckland won the Group 1 $156,400 NZ Sires Stakes Final, owned by the 50-share strong Alabar Racing Syndicate and what a great turnout of owners it was oncourse to celebrate the win.
I hope you enjoy the read.
