Breckon Farms

Breckon Farms once again has a good number of farm-bred or foaled, owned or related horses lining up this weekend in both New Zealand and Australia.

On Friday at Auckland in Race 1 is Forget The Price Tag who was very impressive on debut and backed that up with a solid placing, both on this course, before missing out in the NZ Derby at Addington, but can bounce back here. In Race 4 are Princess Tiffany who is unbeaten in 3 runs to date and is favoured to win this too, Bubbled Up who has had 3 strong races to date for 2 seconds and should be right amongst it here, Ruby Rose who was a nice 4th on debut 3-weeks back at Addington and is held in high regard, Miss Streisand who has won 2 on this track with the latest 2-weeks ago being impressive and should be right in this and Kayla Marie who has had 4-starts for 2 wins & 2 placings to date and despite her 2nd Row draw should be thereabouts here. In Race 5 is Stress Factor who has been racing well since resuming and has won 3-from-4 on this course, so from his handy draw must rate highly. At Addington in Race 1 are Another Masterpiece who is racing very well with 2 wins & 2 placings from as many starts and can add another win in this small field and Taxman who was checked in his one-and-only start and from the outside draw here will need some luck. Over at Bankstown in Race 1 are Change Gear whose form has dropped away but who is capable of filling a place in this and Art I Special who has been racing well but this is a step up in class. In Race 6 is Code Black who has been racing well of late including two 3rd placings at Melton and must rate a chance here. At Gloucester Park in Race 1 is Tuas Delight who has been thereabouts in his last two on the course and rates a chance of getting some of this. In Race 4 is Purest Silk who has had 2 wins & 1 second in 3 starts since arriving in WA but strikes a couple of good ones in this Oaks Prelude. In Race 5 is Bronze Seeker who has been in-and-out in recent racing and will need some improvement to be in this from his 2nd Row draw. In Race 8 is Rock Diamonds who was a good 5th fresh-up 2 weeks ago and on natural improvement should be getting some of this from his 10m mark.

On Saturday over at Albion Park in Race 1 is Fifth Edition who was a good winner earlier in the week on the course and should get his chance to repeat the dose here. At Melton in Race 5 is Partyon who has had 2 impressive wins since joining Dean Braun and should add to the tally here despite once again drawing the 2nd Row over 1720m. At Bunbury in Race 4 is Estilo who has been mixing his efforts and would need to step up to get any of this.

On Sunday over at Cootamundra at Junee in Race 9 is Rocking who was checked and locked wheels last start, but before that the form was exemplary so should be able to bounce back here despite her 2nd Row draw.

Neighlor (4g Bettor’s Delight / Braeside Star) won at Narrogin on the 14th April, drawing No.2 on the 2nd Row in a start that was very muddled due to breaking horses, he managed to settle 3-back-and-1-out, then with 600m to go, he pulled out 3-wide and turning for home was 1-out in second position, but caught the leader right on the line to win by a short ½-head to now have 9 wins & 8 placings for $51,921 – bred by BJ & CJ Whitelock.
